CARMICHAEL, CA - The victims of Monday night's hit and run in Carmichael are still at Mercy San Juan Medical Center.
Gemily West, 23, has been upgraded to fair condition. Her boyfriend Harison Randall, 21, remains in critical condition.
Randall underwent a seven hour surgery Wednesday to repair his pelvis, which shattered in two pieces, according to his family.
The couple were walking their dogs Monday night around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and Engle when a 1986 or 1987 screamed down the road traveling at least 80 mph.

The car hit both of them, severing Randall's leg immediately.
All four dogs were also killed.
"The biggest question in their mind is why," Gemily's brother Trevor West said. "My sister was screaming out 'Why?!' while she was laying, bleeding, in the middle of the street with four of her dogs and her boyfriend. It would give them huge relief (to know who did this)."
West said his sister is trying to remain optimistic.
"She's trying to stay in good spirits and be there for when she gets to see Hari," West said
The California Highway Patrol is asking everyone to be on the lookout for a 1986 or '87 Nissan Maxima with front-end damage. The car is light brown and is missing the driver's side mirror.
Tips are also coming in, but none have panned out so far.
"Not everyone of them is a great tip, but nonetheless were are looking into each tip that we get," Officer Todd VanLindt said. "Every tip that we get is just another piece of the puzzle."
The family is working to establish a donation fund to help with expenses.
