Resident safely evacuates Carmichael house fire | News
CARMICHAEL, CA - A person inside of a Carmichael home when the garage erupted in flames got out safely Tuesday afternoon, says a Sacramento Metro Fire District spokeswoman.
Michelle Eidam said multiple 911 calls came in a little after 4 p.m. about a fire in a garage at a home on the 3300 block of Oak Stream Court.
Firefighters have extinguished the flames. Eidam said the fire spread into the home's second story and attic. Crews kept the fire from neighbors' homes.
There was no immediate word on what ignited the fire.
