R2-D2 at DMV?

R2-D2 at DMV?

Sacramento -- Self-Service Terminals (SSTs) at three local DMVs enable immediate registration renewals of most vehicles, providing a new registration card and license plate sticker. SSTs in DMVs at:

4700 Broadway, Sacramento; 7775 La Mancha Way, Sacramento and 5209 North Avenue, Carmichael.

Resembling an ATM, the SSTs are touch-screen operation that scans either your vehicle's Renewal Notice or current Registration Card. When the registration information is displayed, payment is made through the SST by inserting cash, check, credit or debit card. Immediately upon acceptance of payment, the SST prints a new registration card and license plate sticker. The process takes five minutes or less!

Visit www.dmv.ca.gov for updated information about SST locations and all DMV stuff you may need to know. SSTs also process PNOs for vehicles needing Planned Non-Operation status.
