SACRAMENTO, CA - An early Saturday morning fire shut down a Fair Oaks restaurant.

The fire started around 3 a.m. at Mikunis on 4301 Hazel Avenue, in the Hazen Ridge Plaza Shopping Center, Sacramento Metro City Fire said.

When crews arrived, they could see smoke coming out of the building. The fire department believes the AC system caught fire and was put out by the sprinkler system, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Mikunis will be closed for the rest of the day due to water damage.
